He was born at Birdtown, December 17, 1903, a son of the late A.P. Williams and Amanda Maxwell Williams. He was a deacon of the Pleasant Springs Baptist Chruch, a Mason and instructor at the Petit Jean Vocation Technical School. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Jones Williams of Birdtown; two sons, Dean Williams of Birdtown and Royce Williams of Solgohachia; a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Trafford of Little Rock; a brother, L.C. Williams of Long Beach, Cal; a sister, Mrs. Golda Woodward of Long Beach, Cal; and nine grandchildren. Funeral services were 10 a.m. today at the Pleasant Springs Baptist Chruch by Elder Earl H. Smith. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery by Reid-Harris Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Haven Mahan, T. Jeff Williams, J.D. Barnum, Leamon Jones, Druid Jones and Jim Hays Huett.". His body was interred at Kilgore Cemetery, Solgohacia, Conway County, Arkansas, at Kilgore Cemetery. |
