Unnamed died. Unnamed was born circa 1848. He was the son of William D. Ladd and Sarah Price.

Sylvia was born. She was the daughter of Amos Terrill Ladd and Sarah Barr.

Melvin was born. He was the son of Amos Terrill Ladd and Sarah Barr.

Christopher died. Christopher was born circa 1785 at Stokes Co., North Carolina. He was the son of Noble Ladd and Elizabeth Darnell. He married Elizabeth Brock on 6 May 1805.

Elizabeth was born. She married Christopher C. Ladd on 6 May 1805.

John died. John was born in 1788. He was the son of Noble Ladd and Elizabeth Darnell.

The family was living in Granville, Co., North Carolina by 1810 and moved to Hickman Co., Tennessee about 1835. Charles Ladd states: "I believe the children of Jesse to be Elizabeth born ca 1807 - Rebecca ca 1809 - John H. ca 1810-1811 - Calvin 1818 - Thomas ca 1822 (1840 census list 15-20) He was not listed in 1850 census, he may have been missed because according to court records he moved several times that year between Dickson & Hickman. I have no proof as to who the parents of Jesse Ladd was, but again Jesse was the only Ladd in early Wake Co. except for two females: Agatha Ladd married John Williams in Wake Co. North Carolina 9-17-1811. The Williams family came from Mecklenburg Co. Va. This joins Brunswick Co. which is where John Shearin,Jr was from. His daughter Gillea Shrearin married Jesse Ladd." Jesse was born in 1781 at Mecklenburg County, Virginia. He was the son of William Ladd III and Mary Hunnicutt. He married Gillea Shearin at Wake County, North Carolina, on 15 December 1805. Jesse was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census at Hickman County, Tennessee. Family #868, page 122. Ladd, Jesse 69 b.VA, Gilly 69 b.NC. . Jesse died on 18 September 1870 at Hickman County, Tennesse.

Gillea was born in 1781. She was the daughter of John Jr. (?) Shearin and Elizabeth Burrows. She married Jesse Ladd on 15 December 1805 at Wake County, North Carolina. Gillea died in 1861.

John was born in 1811 at Wake / Granville County, North Carolina. He was the son of Jesse Ladd and Gillea Shearin. He married Elizabeth Inscore at Granville Co., North Carolina., on 16 July 1832. John died.
