William died. William was born on 15 December 1893 at Johnson Co., AR. He was the son of William Franklin Kirby and Annie Lee Wharton. He married Lillian Lawson on 25 December 1916. He was inducted into the military at Eufaula, Oklahoma, on 23 September 1917. By May, 1918 he was in England. It was September 28, 1918 that he was wounded while fighting in the famous Muse Argonne Forect Battle in France. The wounds kept him in hospitals in Germany, France, and New York until he was discharged on June 11, 1919 at Camp Pike, Little Rock, Arkansas.. He married Anna Carter on 10 July 1921.
